Who we are

Blayer is a mobile app that helps climbers find climbing partners. Blayer is operated by Tom Zion, Yoval Sharbi, Nadav Madlal, and Sharon Elalof ("Blayer", "we", "us"). If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at yutomshazion@gmail.com.

What personal data we collect

To provide the service, we collect what you put in your profile and what the app needs to match you with partners:

• Account: email address; sign-in identifier from Apple or Google if you use those (we receive a token, not your password).
• Profile: name, age, profile photo, climbing discipline(s), grade range, weight, years of experience, owned gear, preferred locations (gyms/crags), typical availability.
• Activity: climbers you express interest in, matches, in-app messages with matched partners, partner ratings / safety flags you submit, and any users you block or report.
• Technical: basic device and log data needed to run and secure the service, and a push-notification token if you enable notifications.

We do not collect precise live geolocation in v0.1, and we do not sell your data.

Why we use it (legal bases)

We process your data to create your account, build your profile, match you with compatible partners, enable coordination chat, support ratings and safety flags, keep the service secure, and act on blocks and reports. Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (to provide the core matching and messaging service you sign up for); your consent (which you can withdraw at any time — for example for optional profile details or push notifications); and our legitimate interests (to keep the service secure and prevent abuse).

Who can see what

• Your weight is shown only after a mutual match (per the product design).
• Matched partners can see your profile and exchange messages with you.
• If you block another user, you and they are removed from each other's discovery, matches, and chat. If you report a user, the report (including your identity) is visible to the Blayer operator for safety review.
• We share data with the infrastructure providers needed to run the app (hosting, database, file storage, push notifications) under their data-processing terms.

Where your data is processed

Blayer is operated from Israel. Your data is processed and stored by our infrastructure providers on servers located in the European Union (database and profile photos) and the United States (application hosting). Where data leaves your region, our providers apply appropriate safeguards for the transfer.

Your rights, including deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data (profile, photos, matches, ratings) from inside the app at any time — this is built into the app. Depending on your region (e.g. EU/EEA, UK, California) you may also have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or object to the processing of your data. To exercise any of these, email us at yutomshazion@gmail.com and we'll respond within a reasonable period (and within any timeframe your local law requires).

Data retention & security

We keep your data while your account is active and delete it on account deletion. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest; passwords are hashed (Argon2id).

Age requirement

Blayer is for adults 18 and older (v0.1 is adults-only). We do not knowingly create accounts for, or collect personal data from, anyone under 18 — profile creation enforces an 18+ check. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we will delete it.
